CF Puebla or Club de Futbol Puebla de la Franja A.C. to give them their full name are a Mexican soocer team playing in the Primera division, Mexico’s top league. The club was formed in 1944 now play their home games in the 46,412 capacity Estadio Cuauhtemoc situated in Puebla in the Pue region of Mexico.
The CF Peubla home jersey consists of a white shirt with a blue diagonal strip across the front with the club emblem on the upper left which incorporates 4 stars for the Copa Mexico triumphs and and two larger stars for the Championship wins. Puebla have relied heavily on foreign talent over the years with players coming from Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Chile, Uruguay and other locations such as Africa and Europe. The current squad is made up of prodominately Mexican players but it was with these foreign players that the club was most successful winning the league in 1982/83 and 1989/90.
