DC United Soccer Kit
The New DC United Soccer Home Kit some how reminds me of the Germany football jersey. Whether it is the black and red or the eagle on the crest I’m not sure.
The New DC United home kit is black with 3 white adidas stripes horizontally across the chest.
The DC united away soccer jersey is the reverse of this with the full white soccer shirt and black stripes. There is also a Pre game shirt used for warm ups which, like the home jersey, is black
with red flashings up the side.
One of the best places to buy the shirts and other range of DC United jerseys and tracksuits is
world soccer shop.com.
Alternatively you can look at a range of authentic DC United soccer uniform on the
MLS official gear website.
The players who pull on the new DC United home kit wear with pride the soccer shirt of the most successful team in MLS history. Although the MLS itself is relatively young it still leaves the new DC United players with a lot to live up to.
The Washington DC based team currently play at the 56,692 capacity Robert F Kennedy Memorial Stadium. There is a plan, like many other MLS clubs, to build a 27,000 capacity soccer specific stadium near the Polar Point area of the capital.
The move to a more compact stadium should provide the fans with the atmosphere they deserve. I say this as DC is one of the best supported teams in the country.
The Supporters clubs, Barra Barra, The Screaming Eagles and La Norte are very vocal in their support. These supporters wear the DC United Soccer shirt with as much pride as the players themselves. With 2007 average attendances at 20,566 so far this season the DC united fans have again shown the way for other MLS fans in support of their team.

As you can see 96 -99 were very fruitful under the tenure of Bruce Arena. During this period DC united won the double in their first season in the MLS.
After Arena left in 1998 to take over the US National team Thomas Rongen was head coach winning the 1999 MLS cup in his first season.
The downward spiral began after that period but some success was evident in the resurgence of the team in 2004 when the MLS cup was once again won after beating Kansas City Wizards 3-2 in the final.
The most recent measure of the resurgence of DC United was evident in the 4-0 win over Celtic in 2006 coupled with a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.
