The team slowly improved but winning 6 games in the 2005 season resulted in the sacking of Jose Luis Trejo. His demise was quickly followed by the sacking of Antonio Mohammed. Chiapas finally secured the services of their third manager of the season in Fernando Quirarte and thing improved from there.
