New England Revolution Soccer Is This Finally The Revs Year
The New England Revolution soccer team play in the MLS Eastern Conference. The team can be best described as the nearly men of US soccer have come so close to winning titles and cups but falling so many times at the final hurdle.
The New England Revolution soccer kit consists of a home jersey of navy blue with red side panels. The away kit is a reverse of the home with a white jersey and red side panels. Both of the home and away kits have Revolution across the chest. There is also a pregame shirt in blue with white side panels for warm ups before the game.
A great selection of New England Revolution soccer kit can be found at the
Official MLS Soccer shop.

Stadium
Formed in 1995 New England Revolution played at the Foxboro stadium until 2001 when they then moved to the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass, home of the NFLs’ New England Patriots.
There is a strong rumour that the club will build a 20,000 capacity soccer specific stadium in the city of Somerville. This is in line with other MLS clubs and will lead to an improved atmosphere and a better sense of identity for the club.
On the Field
The team is currently coached by ex Liverpool and Scotland legend Steve Nicol. Steve will be hoping that his predominantly US team will excorcise the ghosts from the past. Having lost out in the US Open Cup final in 2001 and the MLS Cup final in 2002 and 2005 to, the now struggling
LA Galaxy,
the team must be wondering when they will win a title. The revolution also lost out to
Dynamo Houston
in the 2006 MLS Cup final.

The main rivals of New England are
Red Bull New York
but the club has also formed close rivalries with fellow eastern conference teams
Chicago Fire
and DC United.
Matches against these rivals are closely fought and the supporters clubs – mainly the Midnight Riders and the Rev Army – look forward to them with anticipation and excitement.
As with the team name the American Revolution theme runs through the supporters clubs names. The Midnight riders take there name from the two famous riders who rode through the night to announce the advancement of British troops from Boston at the beginning of the American Revolution.
