Tigres de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, also known as Tigres UANL or simply Tigres, is a popular Mexican professional football club, which plays in the Primera División de México. The side plays home games at the 41,000 capacity Estadio Universitario, located in San Nicolás de los Garza, a municipality in the metropolitan area of Monterrey. The UANL Tigres are the official team of the state-owned university, the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León (UANL, or Autonomous University of Nuevo León).
