Adidas F50 Football Boots
Adidas F50 football boots range of football boots is Adidas's signature line of customisable, lightweight boots. These boots were first released in 2004 in time for the build-up to UEFA Euro 2004. This range was designed to compete with Nike's Mercurial Vapor range, which had been released two years earlier. A natural successor to the X-Line range and a stunning design has ensured Adidas are back at the top of football boot innovation. The name F50 (Football 50) is a reference to the year 1954 when the German Football team won the World Cup in revolutionary Adidas boots with exchangeable studs. Adidas decided to mark this occasion with another revolutionary boot exactly 50 years after the event in 2004.
