The Famous Tottenham Hotspur Shirt
The Tottenham Hotspur shirt colour of all white with blue shorts was said to be in honour of the great Preston North End team of the turn of the 1900’s. Whether that is true or not the Spurs players throughout the years have made history themselves by recording notable firsts in English football.
The first 20th Century club to win the league and cup double in 1960-61 season, Tottenham also were the first British side to win a European trophy winning the European Cup Winners Cup in 1963.
The current home Tottenham Hotspur shirt is the usual all white top with the Spurs logo on the chest. The shirt sponsors Mansion is emblazoned across the front of the home shirt which is manufactured by Puma.
The current Tottenham away jersey is all sky blue with a blue collar. The 2008/09 Spurs away strip is available from the 18th July from the online store
The Tottenham 3rd Jersey is only available for the club and is all black. This particular shirt is probably one of the most stylish shirts around at the moment but may be hard to come by unless you buy from the club shop.
The Retro Tottenham Football Shirt
There is a great choice of Retro football shirts from past spurs era’s whether you go back to Danny Blanchflower or Jimmy greaves there is a retro shirt to suit. A favourite of fans is
the Tottenham 1961 double winners shirt.
This is a replica of shirt worn by the spurs side when the won the two trophies that particular season.
Tottenham Hotspur OPUS
This has to be the ultimate gift for any devoted spurs fan. I could not believe this when I saw it but the Tottenham Hotspur OPUS is a real collectors item. Only 1000 are in existence and the detail in this is amazing. 1,000 pages long of the finest quality the OPUS has been released as part of the clubs 125th anniversary.
There are 300,000 words and 1500 photographs, some of which have never been published before.
There is also a club edition which are numbered 501 to 1,000. The club edition is signed by the team manager, Club captain and vice captain, Ramos, King and Keane.
